West Cabarrus Warehouses - Coming Soon

Kane Realty is set to expand its growing footprint near downtown’s Warehouse District in Raleigh, NC. Rezoning plans were recently filed to redevelop a 6 acre parcel of land along West Cabarrus Street between Dupont Circle and S. West Street into another mixed-use complex.

Plans for the site include up to 500 residential units, 350,000 square feet of office space and 50,000 square feet of commercial/retail space. The ground-level retail entrances will mostly be located along West Cabarrus, and a minimum 2/3 of that first-story facade will be made up of windows. One of its more unique features is a plan to install a rooftop garden on the property’s parking deck.

The rezoning documents also included notes from a recent neighborhood meeting held for the project. 36 different issues were discussed between the developers and the 42 neighborhood attendees, including traffic concerns, architectural styles, community benefits, and the prohibition of bars/lounges.
